- Download and print a flyer here and take a photograph of yourself holding up your flyer. It just takes a few minutes and you can even use the camera on your computer or mobile phone. Feel free to make your own sign and include friends, family and co-workers in your photograph.
- Upload your photograph to Hershey’s Facebook page here. Just hit “like” on Hershey’s Facebook page and upload your photograph on the company’s wall. Include a message of support like: “Hershey: I want more from my s’mores! Will you raise the bar for workers and make my chocolate without child labor, forced labor and trafficking by National S’mores Day next year?”

Make your S’mores Fair Trade
Whether you are making s’mores at home, at a barbeque or while camping, use Fair Trade Certified chocolate for your s’more and be sure to register each s’more that you and your friends make online here! Each Monday until September 10, 2011, we will be updating the total number of Fair Trade S’mores made by people around the world. The best way to support the campaign is to host a s’mores event in your community. Check out this step-by-step checklist to help you plan an event! Check out the video below for inspiration.
Collect Hershey Petitions in Your Community
At your s’mores event — or any other type of event where friends, family and community members gather — collect petitions to Hershey. Download regular s’mores themed petitions here. You can also download a special s’mores-themed color-in petition to Hershey online here.
Alert Other Consumers in your Supermarket
Check out this page on our site to download “consumer alert” cards to put in the s’mores display in your local supermarket. Make a video of yourself taking action and post it online! Check out this video for inspiration — and find all the details on how to participate here.
Join the Photo Petition
Take photographs of you and your friends holding your Fair Trade s’mores and signs calling on Hershey to support Fair Trade! You can download printable flyers to use in photographs here. Send your photographs to the campaign at: info[at]raisethebarhershey.org. Making videos at your event is another great way to support the campaign! Send links to your videos to info[at]raisethebarhershey.org as well.
Host a Dark Side of Chocolate Screening
You can also host screenings of the documentary The Dark Side of Chocolate which reveals the child labor and trafficking in the cocoa industry in your community. Check out how to host a screening and order a DVD here.
